Ran: Feb 7th
Recap/Intro
Last we left off, we found our Hero- well, maybe a bit too presumptuous to be calling them heroes just yet. Our Adventurers, we'll say, in a tavern. some meeting for the first time, all to take a Job by one Rakin informant named DeeDee. The Job sounded simple on parchment, retrieve a Pre-Fracture Artifact in some ruins a few days outside of Vornaud, but some prodding from Gilbert determined that whatever this job is, it must be pretty important for whoever wants it.
They began their journey, with 2 of their member immediately transforming into modes of transportation for the rest of the group. Unfortunately for them, on the 2nd day of their journey they were waylaid by some Bandits, those of the Blue Devils
After a particularly gruesome battle, resulting in the awakening of some kind of magic briefcase and some... recontextualising of what the Adventuring life is like for Norman, the group continued on and finally made it to Echo Hall, the ruins they were directed to. noticing that it looked like there was some recent activity here, perhaps from other Adventurers, they made their way inside.
From here they were able to quickly dispatch remnants of the defenses of Echo Hall, and deduced the small riddle that the Ekovon Order used to guard some kind of vault, they made their way deeper into Echo Hall and found the last of the previous adventuring party meet their end to the defenses, before shortly engaging our party.
After a fierce fight with the animated armors that defended the vault room, Our party was victorious and the scattered and scorched remains littered the room. and here, with their obstacles removed between them and the artifact, is where we pick up our story. So, What would you like to do?
Summary
Veronica Bearington (random MALE bear they saved from a griffon)
Gave the artifact to DeeDee. made their way to Maklor's shop and bought the adventurers ring and some healing potions.
Lagaruk and Daisy investigated The Reverent Grove and found a note for "A" from "T", aswell as some sort of upgrade item for the weird Warforged that Daisy is.
Gilbert and Norman investigated Norman's workplace where they learned from Darius Tyrell that there was a break-in from the Coincounter Knights and Kidnapped Norman B (aswell as "The Darkonis File")
the groups met back up at Gilbert's workshop, and upon investigating both the item and the note from Daisy, realised that the work of the item must've been the work of one Doctor Bitternock, and not only that, a secret sigil on the note that matches identically to the symbol on Norman's briefcase.
